Episode 1
The new series of the award-winning show comes from Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, one of the busiest A&E departments in Europe - where 37-year-old Ronalds is brought in after slicing through his ankle with an angle grinder. As surgeons work to save his leg, Ronalds speaks of his life as a child in Latvia and the challenges he faced when he started a new life in the UK. Doctors make a shocking discovery after 50-year-old Jeremy has a crash on his mountain bike. And 21-year-old Owen has dislocated his shoulder at a music festival.

Episode 2
At Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham - one of the busiest A&E departments in Europe - the staff are in shock when their much-loved colleague, 55-year-old Sister Lou, is rushed in after being knocked off her bike. Lou's colleagues and close friends are concerned that she may have serious internal bleeding as well as severe injuries to her shoulder and wrist. Stuart, who's 57, has fallen from a six-foot ladder, severely fracturing and dislocating his ankle. Previously, Stuart had mental health issues while working as a security guard, which led him to change direction in life.

Episode 3
The RTS award-winning documentary continues, from Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham - one of Europe's busiest A&E departments, where stories of life, love and loss unfold every day. This episode follows the stories of patients who are an inspiration to their family and how they've faced some of the biggest challenges of their lives together. Anita, who's 44, is rushed into Queen's after suffering a cardiac arrest at home, where her teenage son and her mum Sandra performed CPR. Registrar Farhan and the team in resus race against time to understand why her heart stopped. While Anita is treated, Sandra talks about the challenges they've faced as a family. Bob, who's 94, has fallen in the street and injured his head. While the clinical team try to work out why he collapsed, his daughter Katie talks about her dad's life and why he's known as Mr Sunshine. Five-year-old Lottie is in the children's emergency department with her mum, Sian, after injuring her leg while dancing. Sian talks about the joy that being pregnant with Lottie brought, until a scan delivered some worrying news.

Episode 4
Heather, who's 65, is rushed to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham after being found collapsed in the park. Domestic cleaner Deanna, a long-serving member of the A&E team, shares her struggles in early life, including overcoming addiction, before finding her purpose working in the hospital. And the doctors treat a burn on 13-year-old Alicia's hand.

Episode 5
Carol, who's 66, is rushed to Queen's Medical Centre after a lighter ignited her oxygen breathing tank, causing flash burn injuries to her face. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, plus heart and lung failure, mean that she doesn't have long to live. But Carol is determined to be there for her daughter's wedding. Trevor has fallen down a flight of stairs at home. After a full life and a career in the RAF, Trevor woke one morning to find that he was blind. And 71-year-old Grace has tripped and injured her knee.

Episode 6
Andrew is rushed to Queen's Medical Centre after sustaining a severe facial injury from a machine at work. Trainee advanced clinical practitioner Emily Rowe oversees the 40-year-old's challenging treatment. In Resus, doctors need to work out the cause of 61-year-old John's sudden blackouts, which are causing him to fall over, including falling down the stairs. Tony has come to A&E after being crushed by a forklift truck which trapped his ankle and cut his head.

Episode 7
Three pedestrians are brought in to Queen's Medical Centre following an incident in which a car mounted the pavement. The most injured patient, 18-year-old Mica, has suspected head injuries. A man is escalated to Resus as staff suspect that the 61-year-old may be having a stroke, while a 19-year-old student is admitted after cutting her leg on a night out.

Episode 8
Harry has fallen off his scooter and badly cut his head. A 56-year-old has crashed his motorbike at speed and now his leg's at risk. And Mike hurt himself putting out the rubbish
