In Cobham, Paramedic Tasha and Special Inspector Kev, are called when a woman is flung from her horse. She displays symptoms of a spinal fracture and alarming internal bleeding into the pelvis. When they roll the woman onto a stretcher and assess her, they decide her injuries are time critical and she needs to urgently be transported by Air Ambulance to hospital.
Paramedic Mark and Police Constable Calum respond to a collision between a 17-year-old car driver and a 13-year-old E-scooter rider, who has a suspected fractured ankle. The car driver, who's only had his license for two months, says the scooter rode in front of him. With young drivers causing a fifth of all deaths and serious injuries on the road the car driver is breathalysed and tested for drugs at the scene with alarming consequences.
It's pub closing time in Rochester, when Paramedic Lauren and Special Inspector Kev assess a man who has lost consciousness after drinking 8 cans of beer plus wine. He doesn't remember falling over, saying "it seems like I have really overdone it". But is head injury is worrying and so he's sent to hospital to rule out any serious head injury.
Paramedic Mark and Police Constable Ben attend a two-car collision, where one car has been shunted from behind when a second car skipped a red light and smashed into it, dash cam footage confirms the events as the officers see the car travelling at speed into the traffic light, causing it to bend a traffic light over the fast lane of a dual carriageway.
