A slip on fallen crab apples in the street leaves a woman in agony with a suspected broken hip. An afternoon spent pottering in the garden ends with a fall headfirst into a brick wall. A bicycle leaves a young man with a swollen kneecap that paramedics suspect is broken, while picking up a prescription from the chemist ends with a collapse and a trip to hospital.
