Advance Bravely - Season 1

While enjoying a day out, Xia Yao encounters a mysterious girl, Yuan Ru who asks him on a date. Yuan Ru begs her brother, Yuan Zong, to land her a date with Xia Yao.

Xia Yao and Yuan Zong meet for the first time. As Xia Yao leaves, he notices that Yuan Zong is following him and tries to escape. Xia Yao and Yuan Zong engage in a man-to-man brawl.

Xia Yao enjoys a nice bike ride when he notices Yuan Zong following him. Later that night, Xia Yao is feeding his pet bird and discovers that Yuan Zong is on his balcony with a tin of cookies from his sister, Yuan Ru.

Xia Yao reluctantly agrees to meet with Yuan Ru. In order to stop her relentless pursuit, he tells her that he has sexual problems. Xia Yao witnesses Yuan Ru being kidnapped by a group of men. In an attempt to rescue her, he is injured.

Xia Yao discovers Yuan Zong on his balcony. Yuan Ru tells him that he is there to make sure the kidnappers do not seek revenge. A few days later, one of the kidnappers appears.

Yuan Ru asks Yuan Zong to continue to get Xia Yao to go on a date with her. Xia Yao secretly enrolls in Yuan Zong's body guard academy. Can Yuan Zong convince Xia Yao to drop out?

Xia Yao begins his training at the bodyguard academy. Many of the female students take notice. Xia Yao goes to the club with his friends Xuan DaYu and Peng Ze and is reminded of a traumatic childhood experience.

Xia Yao and Xuan DaYu leave the club drunk. The next morning, Xuan DaYu discovers that his house has been ransacked. Xuan DaYu and Xia Yao have no recollection of how he got home from the club.

Xia Yao gives his friend, Xuan DaYu, a tour of the academy. Xuan DaYu destroys equipment as he is leaving. The academy's instructors meet to decide whether Xia Yao should be expelled.

The students take a break from their rigorous training to pick lotus roots from the academy's field. Afterward, Yuan Zong gives Xia Yao some cooked lotus roots. Xia Yao's mother loved the food and made him promise to buy more.

Yuan Zong tells Xia Yao that he would give him more lotus roots, if he agrees to go with him on a motorcycle ride. The next morning, Xia Yao visits a security officer to review video surveillance to find out who robbed Xuan DaYu.

Xia Yao and Yuan Zong bond by sharing details about their past upbringing. On their way back to town, the weather worsened. Finding it difficult to ride the motorcycle through the rain, the two find shelter at a hotel.

Xuan DaYu is upset that Xia Yao lied to him and goes out to the bar. As he is leaving, he notices Wang Zhi Shui, the boy who robbed him.

Xia Yao overhears his coworkers discuss an incident involving a drunk robber. After a bit of questioning, Xia Yao believes that the culprit was Wang Zhi Shui. Xia Yao and Xuan DaYu set off to investigate.

Xia Yao spends the night with Yuan Zong. The next morning, Xia Yao plays a joke on Yuan Zong by giving him durian, "stinky" fruit. Yuan Zong states that he doesn't like it, but Xia Yao guilts him into eating it.

Xia Yao wants to surprise Yuan Zong with an expensive jacket, but has to think of a clever way to give it to him. Xuan DaYu hires bodyguards to kidnap Wang Zhi Shui. Yuan Ru convinces a friend to go on a blind date with her brother.

Yuan Ru enlists the help of the other students to help her "cure" Xia Yu's medical condition. While spending time together, Xia Yao is upset that Yuan Ru's friend is sending text messages to Yuan Zong.

Yuan Yao's friend calls Yuan Zong multiple times and Xia Yao is upset. The next morning, Xia Yao noticed Yuan Zong in the office with Yuan Ru's friend and intends to put a stop to her communications.

Xuan DaYu has his bodyguards torture Wang Zhi Shui. The guards went overboard and Wang Zhi Shui is injured. Xia Yao has dinner with Yuan Zong and Yuan Zong tells him that he has holiday plans to travel to his hometown.

Xia Yao, Xuan DaYu, and Peng Ze goes to the bar. Xia Yao gets drunk and Xuan DaYu carries him to his place. Xuan DaYu is also drunk and thought Xia Yao was Wang Zhi Shui so he ties him up.

Xia Yao and Xuan Da Yu search for Wang Zhi Shui. The next day, a fight breaks out between Yuan Zong's bodyguard academy and a rival group.

Xia Yao believes that Peng Ze's pretend boyfriend was the person that traumatized him. Xia Yao's father asks him to go on a date with one of his friend's daughters, but Xia Yao decides to make a surprise visit to Yuan Zong.

Xuan Da Yu visits a local holiday event and finds Wang Zhi Shui performing as a clown. Xuan Da Yu invites Wang Zhi Shui to his place for dinner to apologize for causing his head injuries.

Xuan DaYu calls Xia Yao and overhears Yuan Ru's voice. The next morning, Xuan DaYu confronts Xia Yao and accuses him of lying about his holiday plans to be with Yuan Ru.

Yuan Zong is upset after learning that a fight broke about between the academy and the rival academy. Xuan DaYu is ambushed by the leader of the rival bodyguard academy. Yuan Zong arrives and rushes Xia Yao to the hospital.

Yuan Zong stays with Xia Yao at the hospital. Xuan DaYu visits and learns that the reason why Xia Yao was shopping was to buy him an apology gift. Yuan Zong goes to the rival bodyguard academy to seek revenge.

Xuan DaYu believes that Yuan Ru is cheating on Xia Yao and hires Wang Zhi Shui to investigate. Xiao Yao's mother questions him about why Yuan Zong is still single.

Xuan DaYu is drowning his sorrows with booze. Xuan DaYu wakes up next to Wang Zhi Shui and finds him and the entire room covered in blood and feathers. Xia Yao asks Yuan Zong to go to dinner with him and his friends.

Xuan DaYu hires Wang Zhi Shui as an actor. Xia Yao visits the set and mistakenly believes that Wang Zhi Shui was the one that traumatized him. On this way home, Xia Yao is asked to help rescue a construction worker that fell down a well.

Xia Yao is stuck down the well. One of the construction crew calls the first person on his phone, which happened to be Yuan Zong. Yuan Zong manages to rescue Xia Yao before the rope breaks.
