Once More Unto the Breach
The first day of the adventure begins, with 10 people prepared to head out into unknown wilderness and survive for as long as they can, in total isolation. But when the survivalists confront rocky terrain, wet environments, and hungry predators, all of them begin to question their resolve.
The Knife's Edge
After several days, the participants attempt to acclimate to their new environment and make order out of chaos. One survivalist proves incredibly skillful and finds enormous success scavenging and hunting for food. Meanwhile, doubts emerge for others as debilitating hunger sets in.
The Beasts of Night
After a week on Vancouver Island, several of the participants find success in their new environment; some work in harmony with the wilderness and others battle against it; careless mistakes threaten to send two people home.
Hunger's Grip
The lack of food takes a toll on the remaining participants after days without eating; starvation impairs the mental and physical capabilities of the participants, pushing some to the edge of surrender.
Storm Rising
The participants continue to battle debilitating hunger, while an approaching storm puts their survival plans in jeopardy.
Adrift
Emotions run high for the remaining participants as they struggle to adapt; one participant wrestles with the solitude, while the other risks it all, taking a perilous journey into the unknown.
Trial by Fire
After three weeks, mental and physical struggles take their toll on the remaining participants; some teeter on calling it quits as they battle deep-seated conflicts.
The Ascent
A participant thrives on the island, while others battle to improve their lot; one man races to a salmon run before it's over; another takes a journey that may be his undoing; and another takes nature's fury head on.
The Madness
After a month in the bush, nature and seclusion prove tough to handle, while some push to tough it out and others question their ability to last.
The Gamble
The final four battle mental fatigue and physical exhaustion, while one faces stiff competition for fish and another's miscalculation may mean missing the salmon run.
Winter's Fury
As winter arrives food sources dwindle and the remaining participants need to take risks.
Into the Abyss
The remaining participants wear thin as starvation and isolation become unbearable; one man faces a potentially deadly situation.
The End Game
In the final days of the competition, the remaining participants battle for supremacy; after pushing their minds and bodies to the breaking point, one of the participants claims the $500,000 prize.
