Ia får sig en rejäl bakläxa av Anders
När Ia skilde sig köpte hon en fallfärdig sommarstuga till sig själv och sina två barn. Den här kan jag renovera över sommaren tänkte hon, men så enkelt var det inte. Hon och barnen bodde i det kalla huset som var oisolerat i stora delar, det fanns inget varmvatten i köket, det fanns ingen ordentlig el och väggarna höll på att rasa ihop. Ia jobbar mer än heltid, har två små barn, en häst och dessutom detta renoveringsobjekt till bostad. Hon är stolt och stark och vill klara sig själv, men Anders blir rejält arg när han försöker få henne att inse att hennes barns liv har varit i fara då hon eldat med trasig skorsten och har el som hänger oskyddat ut ur väggarna. Hon har inga pengar tilll hantverkare och frågar inte sina vänner om hjälp. Äktenskapet med exmaken Jimmy tog slut mycket på grund av att de höll på att bygga ett hus som aldrig blev klart. Då skyllde hon på exmaken, nu ville hon renovera själv, för att inte kunna skylla på någon. Anders och hela hans stora bullriga hantverkarteam tog över huset och hjälpte den oorganiserade ridläraren Ia att komma i ordning. De ordnade ett nytt vardagsrum till familjen och nya sovrum till Ia och barnen. Ia som trodde att hon skulle kunna renovera det lilla huset på en sommar var helt okunnig om vad som krävs när man har ett hus som ska renoveras så fullständigt.
