Brigitte n'a pas encore 15 ans lorsqu'elle pose pour la couverture du tout nouveau magazine ELLE. Très vite repérée par le jeune Vadim, assistant du prestigieux metteur en scène Marc Allégret, Brigitte obtient la permission de sa famille, bourgeois nantis du chic quartier de Passy, de faire des essais pour un film. Ses parents ne la trouvent ni belle ni talentueuse et ne croient pas en son avenir d'actrice. Pourtant, grâce à cette rencontre avec Vadim, le destin s'emballe.
