Season 1
Im Jin Joo is a scriptwriter for TV drama series. Her literary dreams often encroach on her writing, and her quirky personality often involves her speaking to inanimate objects. Meanwhile, Hwang Han Joo heads the marketing department of a production company and struggles to keep up with her work – due in no small part to the ceaseless pressures of motherhood. And Lee Eun Jung runs a one-woman documentary production company.
Life begins to change for the trio, and one of Lee Eun Jung becomes a surprise runaway success, catapulting her into the public spotlight. How will the friends' lives develop as their careers take different paths – and what does the future have in store for them?

Episode 1
After a seven-year-long relationship, Jin Joo finally breaks up with her boyfriend. She starts her career at Writer Jung's workroom. Eun Jung is eager to make her own documentary and meets Investor Hong Dae who changes her life. Meanwhile, Han Joo is struggling between her job and taking care of her son.
Episode 2
Jin Joo meets Bum Soo at the TV station and gets a unique impression. Eun Jung tries various things to find a subject for a new documentary. Han Joo gets in trouble because of the busy schedule. Meanwhile, Jin Joo upsets Ms. Jung and gets fired. She enjoys free but anxious time.
Episode 3
Jin Joo gets an offer from Bum Soo to work together. However, she faces an unexpected obstacle. Do Yeon still refuses to eat fried chicken for the drama, so Han Joo and Jae Hoon do everything they can to convince her. Meanwhile, Eun Jung runs into So Min at a shoot for a TV show she is appearing on and the mood becomes icy.
Episode 4
Jin Joo and Bum Soo discuss what happened last night. Their conclusion is to start what they call an awkward relationship. After the talk show airs on television, the viewers' reactions to Eun Jung and So Min is so great that A Rang suggests that Eun Jung make a documentary about So Min. Meanwhile, Han Joo witnesses Jae Hoon's girlfriend come to the office and wreak havoc.
Episode 5
Han Joo sees Ha Yoon with a man at a club. She is worried about Jae Hoon and hesitates to tell him the truth. Eun Jung casts So Min for her new documentary. As she spends time with her, she learns about various sides of her. Meanwhile, Bum Soo and Jin Joo present their drama, but Bum Soo makes an unexpected scene.
Episode 6
Jin Joo and Bum Soo are in a crisis as they can't find a production company or a time slot. They find their own ways to overcome the stress. Meanwhile, Hye Jung offers Hwan Dong a chance to work with her. Eun Jung finds out about So Min's true self and decides to join the documentary herself.
Episode 7
Eun Jung purposely leaks the secret that Min Joon is thinking of moving to another company to So Min. When So Min hears this, she makes a surprise statement to Min Joon. While Jin Joo is wrestling with how to write a confession scene, Bum Soo suggests that they go on a date together. Meanwhile, Jae Hoon buys flowers to remember what it felt like when he first asked Ha Yoon out, but they never get delivered to her.
Episode 8
Han Joo and Jin Joo sit face-to-face with a contract in between them. However, Bum Soo delivers some unexpected news which makes Jin Joo hesitate. As Jae Hoon and Han Joo go out to have a beer after work, Ha Yoon appears before them. Later, Jae Hoon and Ha Yoon have a big fight over it. Meanwhile, Eun Jung falls to the editing room floor while going through footage of the documentary on So Min.
Episode 9
As So Min continues to miss Min Joon, Eun Jung realizes she is missing Hong Dae. Jae Hoon and Ha Yoon grow tired of holding onto their relationship and Bum Soo has all his staff members taken away by Hwan Dong. Meanwhile, Jin Joo finally gets a studio of her own and dreams of peace and coziness. However, her dreams are shattered as she faces a hoard of unexpected visitors.
Episode 10
Not knowing about Jae Hoon's break up with Ha Yoon, Han Joo hands Jae Hoon a pair of musical tickets that Ha Yoon likes. Eun Jung gives some heart felt advice to So Min which makes her run to Min Joon right away. Meanwhile, In Jong finds some similar parts between Hye Jung's and Jin Joo's scripts. Hwan Dong and Jin Joo's past resurfaces with Hye Jung and Bum Soo being roped into the rumours.
Episode 11
Bum Soo is anxious that Jin Joo keeps avoiding him because she feels uncomfortable with the rumors about them. The day of the musical arrives and Jae Hoon ends up telling Han Joo that he broke up with Ha Yoon and asks Han Joo to go with him instead. Meanwhile, Eun Jung sees a psychiatrist and starts to talk about things she has never been able to tell before. For the first time since she said goodbye to Hong Dae, Eun Jung cries.
Episode 12
Bum Soo tells Jin Joo that he likes her, but somehow the conversation turns into a debate. They decide to hold back the feelings they have for each other. After breaking up with Ha Yoon, Jae Hoon seeks solace from Han Joo, but Ha Yoon reappears. Meanwhile, Eun Jung starts to acknowledge Hong Dae's absence, but her hallucinations take on a different tone. When Eun Jung gets into some trouble, a man comes to her rescue.
Episode 13
Jin Joo and Bum Soo decide to start dating, but even before something sweet can happen, they run into an unexpected accident. As usual, In Jong and Hye Jung are bickering with one another when Mr. So appears, making things feel very awkward. Meanwhile, Jin Joo, Han Joo, Eun Jung, and So Min meet for the first time since their college days as a writer, producer, documentary director, and actress.
Episode 14
Bum Soo, Jin Joo, Jae Hoon, and Han Joo are exhausted from working on the drama. They put work aside for a moment and go on a short trip. They don't get very far, but they still have fun playing games and eating everything they can. Eun Jung takes her psychiatrist's advice and takes a break from her daily life but runs into an unexpected guy. Meanwhile, Jae Hoon struggles to accept Ha Yoon who has reappeared in his life.
Episode 15
Hwan Dong and Hye Jung's main actress is injured while preparing for their drama, so Bum Soo and Jin Joo's drama must go on air much earlier than expected. Bum Soo and Jin Joo both become busier which leads to their first fight. Sang Soo accidentally sends funny pictures of himself to Eun Jung and he tries hard to get her to delete them. Meanwhile, In Gook's dad visits Han Joo out of the blue and makes a rather startling offer.
Episode 16
Han Joo begins a new relationship and she gives some sincere words to Jae Hoon, in return for helping her start dating. Eun Jung decides to make a new documentary after finding solace through her volunteer work and from Sang Soo. Eun Jung gets ready to head off to Europe, while Sang Soo plans to go to Africa. Meanwhile, Jin Joo and Bum Soo's drama is off to a start. And another year goes by.
