Bella Germania - Season 1

Gifted, young fashion designer Julia Becker knows little about her family. After missing a golden opportunity at a fashion show, Julia is approached by Alexander Schlewitz, who turns her life upside down. Introducing himself as her grandfather, the man speaks of his son, Vincenzo, allegedly Julia's father. But clearly there must be some mistake as Julia's mother asserts that Vincenzo died long ago.

Young fashion designer Julia is determined to get in touch with her father, Vincenzo, who she'd assumed to be dead for many years. When Vincenzo refuses to speak to her on the phone, she heads to Turin, Italy, to see him in person. But their meeting goes badly. Vincenzo, who relocated with his mother to Germany in the early 1970s as a young and bright-eyed boy, has broken all ties to the country. And Julia wants to find out why.

Young fashion designer Julia gets to know her father on a road trip to Munich, Germany. As she finds out, her mother and father's life in the late 70s strongly resembled that of famed bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde. Julia also learns of how her grandmother, Giulietta, and grandfather, Alexander, at long last drove off to start a life together, only to have their dreams smashed: The brake hose of the car had been tampered with, causing an accident that ended fatally for Giulietta. Her then husband, Enzo, is the primary suspect.
