Below Deck - Season 5

Captain Lee and his returning crew, Kate and Nico are joined by six new crew members as they embark on a new charter season in St. Martin aboard the luxury yacht Valor. Kate and Nico have their hands full as they are charged with training a few new and inexperienced crew members before the first charter of the season. Meanwhile, Nico is dealing with a personal tragedy which is affecting him more than he's let on.

Tension is high as Kate and Nico continue to struggle operating with a crew of newbies. New personalities bring new challenges as the crew welcomes their first charter guests - a group of self-proclaimed "adrenaline junkies." Mistakes continue to follow the crew and Captain Lee finds himself having to get more involved in troubleshooting the problems. Meanwhile, Brianna becomes the object of everyone's affection and later during their first night out, the alcohol flow reveals some of the crew's true colors and romantic intentions.

Chris Brown's decision to nap during work hours finds him in the crosshairs with Captain Lee. Kate puts her stews through 101 training in order to get them ready for their next charter. The new guests prove to be a handful with indestructible livers and put the stews' new training to the test. Kate meets a cute sailor she nicknames Jesus and has a midnight rendezvous on his boat during charter. Matt faces his first challenge of the season with sushi dinner and a tequila pairing while Bruno steps up to the plate by dressing down in his skivvies to impress the guests.

During their night off Jesus and Kate get to know each other while Chris Brown makes a pass at Brianna. Nico deals with the stress of the boat on the 3-month anniversary of the passing of his younger brother. Meanwhile a group of eight fun charter guests arrive ready to party down which proves a challenge for Kate and the interior. Matt makes a move on Brianna while Nico's wandering eye might end up getting him in trouble with his girlfriend back home. Nico and the exterior make a disastrous mistake during un-docking.

Captain Lee makes a decision regarding the crew's re-configuration which rocks the team to its core. Matt's date with Brianna has an unexpected outcome when they mistakenly arrive at a nude beach. Jen grows weary with the unfair treatment within the Interior. Kate plans an anniversary surprise for the charter guests that fizzles. Meanwhile, criticism from the charter guests sends Matt spiraling into shame.

Nico is pushed to his breaking point under the leadership of newly minted boson EJ. Matt continues to unravel after his disastrous date with Brianna which causes problems for Kate. Captain Lee makes a staffing decision regarding the overcrowded crew of motor yacht Valor. Jen feels under-appreciated in her department which causes strife with Brianna. Meanwhile, tension between EJ and Nico rises to an all-time high.

Leigh Anne Tuohy, the inspiration for Sandra Bullock's character in the Blindside, and her friends prove to be a challenge for Matt's culinary skills. Nico settles into life as the number two on deck but questions if he has the longevity to stick out the season. Jen tries to impress Kate but fails to adhere to the yacht dress code. EJ takes command of the exterior with consequences. Matt reconnects with someone from his past while Kate reprimands Jen and pushes her to the breaking point.

Nico and Brianna grow closer despite Nico's girlfriend back in Chicago. Unexpected news sends Matt into an alcohol fueled day off. Baker takes the offensive in her friendship with EJ. Kate challenges Jen and Brianna to a stewardess speed test which has unexpected consequences.

Captain Lee, Kate, Nico and Matt have their hands full when eight big personalities from Texas come on board. Matt attempts to step up his cooking game, even though the alcohol fueled guests may not notice. Bruno decides to help the interior, only to discover how unorganized they are. Nico attempts to show Captain Lee he is better bosun material than EJ, but a beach picnic might prove too much for him to handle. Meanwhile, Kate attempts to protect Jen from some very hands-y guests.

Unexpected weather conditions force Captain Lee to make some tough choices regarding the charter. An accident puts Nico in jeopardy of finishing out the rest of the charter season. Meanwhile, Kate is forced to leave her stews behind as she attempts to entertain the guests who are none too pleased to be land locked. Without Kate on board, old rivalries resume as Bri grows weary of Jen's slack behavior. Matt is back in hot water with another vocal restaurant owner on charter. Bruno tries to show Kate up with his knowledge of guest relations, but learns that there is no competing with Kate's three stripes.

Captain Lee has a special guest come aboard and the crew gets to see a different side to their fearless leader. Meanwhile, a familiar face from the past surprises the Valor crew and immediately has eyes for Jen. An all-female charter, who love Jesus and cocktails, proves to be a handful for Kate and Captain Lee. As Matt continues to struggle in the galley, Captain Lee takes action to prevent further embarrassment.

Captain Lee tests Matt as he removes his "sous-chef" Bruno from the galley, and joins the women for dinner. Jen feels defeated as her and Kate's working relationship deteriorates. Kyle and Jen grow closer as she finally has a friend she can lean on, but Kyle has ulterior motives. Nico is conflicted as his feelings for his ex-girlfriend and Brianna continue to grow. Jen reaches her breaking point and things turn physical after a dinner gone sour.

Previous guest and finance wizard Timothy Sykes is back and once again can't live without his WiFi. Kate and Captain Lee know the high expectations that are required for a guest of this magnitude and they are feeling the pressure on this last charter of the season. Jen is under intense scrutiny after she has upset the entire crew, and most importantly her boss Kate who puts her through the ringer on this last charter. Meanwhile, Nico struggles to make a decision about his relationship. Kate helps Matt plan the dinners to finish the charter season on a high note.

It's the final night of the charter season and tensions within the crew of motor yacht Valor are running high. All departments are working overtime as return charter guest Timothy Sykes micromanages the crew to execute the perfect surprise for his guests on board. In the wake of her explosive fight with the crew, Jen attempts to be on her best behavior. Nico gathers the courage to end things with Brianna, while Jen makes a final attempt to mend things with Kate.
