Week One

The six British ""brats"" are first introduced by their parents, who have decided to send them away to a boot camp in Utah, where they will learn to be better people, and that they are not the center of the world. Upon arrival at the camp, they are given one last night to sleep in a bed prior to being sent into the wild (unbenounced to them). That night, Fran will not obey the counselors' wishes and go to bed, and rebels when changing her clothes in the bathroom by tearing down the shower curtain, and then makes makes a break for it and tries to escape, but is caught before she could get out of site. The next morning, all are given a breakfast, and then are given thorough physical examinations, prior to being given a standardized outfit that they will wear for the remainder of their time at the camp. They also must give up any body piercing that they have, and James, Fran, and Rachel put up a fight, but finally give in when they are told they will get them back at the end of their ti

The ""brats"" finally hit the trail in this episode, but must carry all of their necessities in a tarp, because backpacks are considered a convenience that must be earned, along with knives and eating utensils. Whenever one of the brats say a curse word, they must pick up a rock and place it in their tarp pack and carry it for the remainder of their journey. This is particularly tough for James, who is so used to swearing that it he uses it in his normal language. Since the original group has been broken into two groups of three, they must be combined with other campers from the United States. Once they get on their way, Rachel does not want to hike, and thus holds up the rest of her group by sitting down and refusing to move. She has several times throughout the episode where she starts and stops. Rachel says that she would rather die than continue on the trip, so is therefore put on a suicide watch, and is not permitted to be alone at anytime until her attitude changes. Charlie

Week Three

The original group of British teens are brought back together in this episode. Charlie has earned the right to carry a knife, which makes it easier to cut and prepare wood for fire. All of the cast members must write down and share what they consider to be the current strengthes and weaknesses of their fellow camp mates, and Fran and James take this opportunity to ""throw rocks"" at one another--figuritively, of course. Rachel receives a letter from her mom saying that she intends to take her out of the program in time for Christmas, but later finds out that its not going to happen. The group is given a handcart to haul their belongings on (with teamwork), but the bags keep falling off and Fran gets disgruntled. The campers are then given an opportunity to analyze their own progress, although it is suspected by the counselors that they are lying in order to get through the program faster (which doesn't work). Charlie is sent off on a solo campout after it is discovered he has been c

Week Four

In the season finale, the British teens finally graduate from the academy, and return home to their British lives changed (somewhat) individuals. It is announced to the group that two of the six British teens will graduate and be permitted to return home. They are also told that those who do not graduate must spend at least TWO more weeks in the wilderness. All of the teens have been broken up to ""solo"", or camp out by themselves to reflect on all that has happened, and if they must stay, the will continue to solo sporadically (although there are days in between that they must come together). The first graduation comes on day #63, and Charlie and Dan are graduated from the camp. Their respective parents are informed and make the 20+ hour flight from England to Utah to attend the ceremony. It is Red Cliff tradition to have each graduate run into the open arms of his or her parents as they see each other for the first time since their departure. Charlie is sent out first into the
