My Daughter: Stalked, Then Murdered by Her Ex
Rana Faruqui's former boyfriend Stephen Griffiths refused to accept that their relationship, which had only lasted a few months, was over and that Rana wanted nothing more to do with him. He stalked her for several weeks and on August 2, 2003, he stabbed her to death with an eight inch serrated hunting blade. Rana was in a field fetching her horse in for the night when she was attacked and repeatedly stabbed.
Griffiths was jailed for life but is eligible for parole in 2017. Rana's mother, Carol Faruqui, and siblings, Simon and Gemma, tell us about their sense of injustice and former Detective Superintendent David Swindle and psychologist Emma Kenny analyse the extent of Griffiths' controlling nature and what drove him to murder Rana.
