The campaign gets under way with the opening three races from Donington Park. Ash Sutton claimed his third BTCC title at the season finale at Brands Hatch in October and this year the youngest-ever triple champion has joined Motorbase as he looks to defend his title in the Ford Focus ST at Napa Racing UK. The last round at Knockhill saw Jake Hill take victory in the first race and second-place finishes in races two and three, to put himself right into contention in the championship title race. The new leader at the top of the standings though is veteran Colin Turkington who will register his 500th British Touring Car race here. Tom Ingram is five points behind and reigning champion Ash Sutton just a point further back.
