Season 1
Episodes
Dr Ranj
TV's Dr Ranj has a serious case of the city blues, but a dose of Escape to the Country and some home-shopping therapy could be the cure. Accompanied by artist and friend Tom, Denise Nurse administers a fabulous selection of property options within reach of the Peak District, including one fit for a king. While on the search, they attempt to work out whose job is harder – a doctor's or a vet's.
The Vixen (aka Jenny Ryan)
Wanting to make a move back to her roots, Jenny Ryan, aka The Vixen from The Chase, along with her partner Thom, has Jules Hudson at the helm for this celebrity escape to find a new countryside home in rural Lancashire, worthy of the UK's ‘queen of the quiz'.
With Jenny's help, Jules also fulfils his lifelong ambition of becoming king. Fortunately, for the rest of us, it's only for a couple of hours!
Janette and Aljaž
Although they are not nearly ready to hang up their dancing shoes, Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec do want to make their escape to the country... in rural Cheshire, where Sonali Shah is on hand with sparkly wellies at the ready. Look out for a very special guest appearance from the couple's beautiful baby daughter and star turns from Belle and Danny Boy, a pair of ever so cute ponies.
Biggins
Stand by for some thigh-slapping fun as Nicki Chapman helps the nation's favourite pantomime dame and king of the jungle, Christopher Biggins, and his partner Neil escape London for a new home in the rural Home Counties. Focusing on the home, the trio take a trip to Highclere Castle, aka Downton Abbey, where Biggins wonders how to go about getting a part in one of the most popular shows of all time... after Escape to the Country, of course.
Cheryl Baker
On the hunt for a new country pad, pop queen and TV presenter Cheryl Baker and her musician husband Steve, team up with Alistair Appleton for a special celebrity escape. This one is packed with loads of laughter, great properties, world-record-breaking attempts, cooking, dancing, grape squashing and a mystery house with a mystery guest!
