Today, a career criminal who masterminded an insurance racket worth £250,000 is put back behind bars after investigators expose his wrongdoing. A woman claiming tens of thousands of pounds for an injury caused by a faulty shoe is tripped up by her own evidence and the investigators who stay hot on her heels. A couple who put in a phoney injury claim for £30,000 see the wheels come off their case when their story doesn't add up. A wedding photographer's dodgy claim for ruined camera kit is exposed as a lie, and a traveller misses his flight due to a puncture on the way to the airport, but his claim falls flat when he submits a forged receipt for his new tyres from a garage.

A comedic panel show featuring team captains Lee Mack and David Mitchell plus two guests per side, hosted by Rob Brydon (formerly Angus Deayton). Each person must reveal embarrassing facts and outrageous lies during a series of different rounds including "Ring of Truth", "This is My..." and "Quickfire Lies". It is up to the opposing team to tell tall tales from fantastic facts.
