Episode 4

In this final episode of the series Bradley looks at how the game show has evolved through changing times - from the incredible sets on shows like The Cube and Total Wipeout to the clever gimmicks that give each show its unique selling point. Bradley meets the man known to millions over 40 years ago as Bernie The Bolt – and has a go himself at lining up the famous prop from The Golden Shot. We also see how the role of women has changed in game show history – from the early days of game show hostesses like Anne Aston to the impact of presenters like Anneka Rice (Treasure Hunt) and Carol Vorderman (Countdown) in the 1980s. There's also a chance to see how game show catchphrases have developed over the years and we relive the moments when, despite all that developing technology, things didn't always go to plan.
