Spencer makes game day food including barbecue beef and bacon armadillo eggs with chipotle cheddar centres, dill pickle chip coated chicken wings with dirty pickles and spicy buttermilk ranch dip, and a skillet baked cambozola with an apple mostarda.

Spencer keeps the dirty dishes to a minimum with his ham hock and barley risotto with green peas, a seafood and andouille sausage gumbo with puff pastry cap and Tuscan smothered bone-in pork chops.

Spencer utilises leftover barbecue chicken to elevate fried tortillas, smothering them in queso, pico di gallo, cilantro cream and cheese. He crafts rice cakes with leftover salmon, and transforms leftover potatoes into loaded spring rolls.

Spencer shares his recipe for salmon stuffed with creamed spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and olives with Greek-style potatoes, makes crispy coconut shrimp with pineapple rum hot sauce, and bathes mussels with lime, chilli and white wine sauce.

Before joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed The Colbert Report, which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one-third of the time. Good luck, Bill!

But when Max gets arrested and ends up helping Ellis solve a local crime, the two are offered the opportunity to redeem themselves, with Ellis going back to detective and Max staying out of jail. The catch? They have to work together, with each using their unique skills to solve crimes. For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. Against the backdrop of beautiful Vancouver — with all its unique, charming, and even contradictory neighbourhoods and subcultures — the two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners.
