Harold Shipman
Harold Shipman was convicted of killing 15 patients in 2000. An official report after his sentencing took that figure to 215! He was sentenced to life in prison and committed suicide in his cell 2004. Beverley Allitt was, to most of her colleagues, a ‘model' nurse. Very astute, caring and always willing to help. But just months into her new job at Grantham and Lincolnshire Hospital her colleagues became suspicious. Allitt was found guilty of murdering four children on the infamous Ward 4 at Grantham and Lincolnshire Hospital during 1991. She was also charged with 11 attempted murders and 11 accounts of grievous bodily harm. Hungerford Massacre
Hungerford is a market town in Berkshire, South East England, with a population of around 6,000, surrounded by woodlands and near the river Dun. The tranquillity of this peaceful town was shattered on 19 August 1987 when a lone gunman, Michael Ryan, 27, went on a killing spree that resulted in the murder of 16 people.
