Lawyer Anna Hartogh visits her client Simon, boss of BootCamp, a large jeans company. When she sees a ring lying around, she impulsively puts it in her bag. That same evening, she falls in love with Max, a police detective. Simon's brother, Patrick, has to do an unpleasant job. He fires a designer. When Anna has lunch with Simon the next day, he pushes a disturbing video under her nose.

Anna struggles with Simon's sexual blackmail. She confides in her friend and partner Roos. There seems to be no solution. Max has been suspended and is bored to death. He wonders whether he can informally interfere with the file on the missing Salena. Simon's brother Patrick gets Mirande's parents on his back and feels guilty about her suicide. Max gives Anna an idea of how she can combat Simon.

Anna swears that she will never sleep with Simon again, even if she has to kill him for it. But he puts her under a lot of pressure to meet up again. Max finally wants to do something and actively goes looking for Salena. Patrick tries to pay his respects at Mirande's funeral. Anna's parents come to give her a small gift.

Roos is worried about Anna's story about her fight with Simon and that she stabbed him with an awl. Max tries to get out of his suspension. When the news comes in that Simon has been murdered, the police start a major investigation. Roos advises Anna to confess everything.

Max is now also involved in the investigation into the death of Simon, who was murdered with an awl. Several suspects are considered as perpetrators. Anna swears to Roos that she did not stab him in the throat, but Roos finds that increasingly difficult to believe. Patrick is now on his own at BootCamp and demands that Anna solve the problems surrounding Mirande's suicide.

Max and his colleagues interrogate everyone who might know something about Simon's murder, including his secretary Lois. Anna goes in search of other victims of Simon's sexual misdeeds. Lilly and the children struggle with the loss of their husband and father. Roos's conscience is increasingly bothering her.

Max is very confused about the discovery he has made. He continues his search on his own. Suspicion also focuses on Aron, Mirande's brother, and Simon's secretary Lois. Lilly wants to get involved with BootCamp. Anna thinks she has found a new victim of Simon.

Anna is finally prepared to confess the whole story to Max. However, this causes him, as a police officer, great guilt. Roos has no choice but to make a difficult decision. Mirande's brother Aron calls in his parents to confirm his alibi. Lilly doesn't understand where the ring she found came from.

Anna is in prison and is being interrogated vigorously by the police. Lilly has to deal with an unpleasant truth. Max has become persona non grata with the police and is no longer allowed to interfere in anything. Patrick is afraid of the downfall of his company while the big spring fashion show is approaching.
