America Divided: The Cancel Culture War
Cancel culture is a rampant phenomenon designed to weaponize public opinion. The internet has become society's courtroom with viral videos subjecting everyday people to national scrutiny. What started as a way to hold people accountable has evolved into a powerful force that can make or break careers, reputations and even lives. Is the culture of public shaming going too far? We're going to hear from all sides of the debate and highlight three recent cases of cancel culture surrounding politics, safety, and community. We'll meet a woman banned from her gym after taking a photo of a transgender man in the women's locker room, a middle schooler banned from giving a patriotic speech to his class, and a male science teacher suspended for posting a video with female students.
