Deli-lcious Delights
Caplansky's is our first stop, a Jewish deli truck out of Toronto, Canada, serving up classics with a twist such as the WZE Sandwich, featuring grilled kosher-style salami, schmaltz laced chopped liver, red onions and Russian honey mustard all in a mini challah bun! We then cool things down at the Lake St Creamery who are serving up deliciously unique ice cream flavors including home made donuts, Earl Grey Tea and even Whiskey. Next we rock up in Nashville for some original Mexican gourmet at the Yayo's OMG truck. Topping off this episode, we go nuts for donuts in Austin, Texas, at the Gourdough's truck. These guys do donuts unlike anyone else such as The Porky's, injected with Jalapeno jelly and topped with cream cheese and Canadian bacon.
Global Gastronomy
Season three's first port of call is Cleveland, to meet the Dim and Den Sum truck for some tasty Asian American comfort food. Hot on the heels is a visit to a secret back alley in Calgary, Canada, for ultimate urban delights at Alley Burger. Then the Eat St. truck treks across the Atlantic to visit London, England, for a spicy Indian mouthful at a cart called Everybody Love Love Jhal Muri Express. And finally, we speed on over to Tampa, to the Wicked 'Witches truck who definitely know what side their bread's buttered on.
Nomadic Nosh
In Baltimore, the king of food trucks is the Gypsy Queen, run by two former restaurant owners they are serving up eclectic eats such as a soft shell crab BLT and mac 'n' cheese stuffed into a waffle cone! From there Eat St. heats up as we visit Baby's Badass Burgers in Los Angeles, for some truly top shelf burgers with names like The Bombshell, The All American Girl and The Cougar. We then put the brakes on in Lansing, Mich., and enjoy some slow fast food at The Trailer Park'd truck, these guys smoke their locally sourced meats for hours every morning and their smoked chicken fricassee-wich is certainly worth the wait. Final stop is in Rosemead, Calif., where we get a real kick out of the Truck Norris truck that serves up home-style Filipino cuisine such as their Ninja Shepherds Pie and Notorious R.I.B. that packs a real punch.
Monster Menus
First stop is Gorilla Cheese in New York, a truck whose cheesy sandwiches stretch almost as long as their line-ups. Their triple cream brie and smoked gouda will make you go ape for sure. From there we head to London, England, to visit Eat My Pies, a stand that's bringing back quality traditional food such as pork pies, black pudding Scotch eggs and a royally good custard tart. Back across the Atlantic to Vancouver, B.C., Canada, to the Coma truck for narcoleptic nourishment that's a fusion of Korean, Mexican and American. Final stop is in Cleveland at the Nosh Box, a truck that brought their homemade favorites to the street for all to enjoy such as their Double Wide Grilled Mac 'n' Cheese Sandwich and a portabella mushroom burger.
Fries & Dolls
In Washington, D.C., we set our sights on DD Pies who are offering savory and sweet pies that'll make you wish your belly really was as big as your eyes. Then we're trucking on up to Fries and Dolls in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where they're serving up tasty curbside treats named after female icons including The Farrah, Pamela Poutine and The Daisy Duke. Next up is a family affair at Papa Perrone's in New York, whose owner has brought his mama's traditional Sicilian recipes to the street. Last but not least we drive to Tampa Bay to La Guaguita truck to feast of fine Puerto Rican food.
Purple Carrots
First up is a trip to Lansing, Mich., where we get tempted by the Purple Carrot truck, farm fresh feasting at its finest. Then we're rolling into Miami, Fla., for a quick Sugar Rush sampling deep fried cupcakes and milkshakes with added cake! From there we head to San Francisco where an old school bus has been given a make-over, called Le Truc this is a mobile dining experience offering gourmet style street food to the hungry masses. Finally we stampede over to Calgary, Canada, for some revolutionary curb side cuisine with the Perogy Boyz truck.
High Voltage Dining
First up, we get some shockingly tasty treats at Ms P's Electric Cock dishing up Southern comfort food out of Austin, Texas, such as her "World Famous Waffles" and "Dirty Black Eyed Peas." Next we truck on down to Tampa Bay and ride the Taco Bus to try out their cochinita pibil, rajas con queso and a very tasty butternut squash tostada. Then we drive into New York to visit Uncle Gussy's, who makes Greek food fit for the gods. Portland, Ore., is the final stop in this episode, pulling up at Lardo's whose pork related menu will make you squeal with delight as we pig out on pork meatballs and a pork belly, egg and cheese sandwich!
Planet Food
We begin by rolling into Los Angeles for a taste of Central America at Lidia's Dominican Truck, serving authentic Dominican delights such as pernil roasted pork with maduros and wasakaka chicken with arroz con guandules. Then we get globally inspired at the Gastronomo Vagabundo truck in Toronto, Canada, where world cuisine is fused into dishes that are out of this world such as a Pickled Lamb Tongue coated with Egyptian dukkah and a tempura fish taco with Trinidadian hot sauce. Next it's a trip to Austin, Texas, for some classic fish and chips at the Bits & Druthers truck with fish coated in the crunchiest beer batter around. Finally we cap it all off with a trip to Washington, D.C., to meet and eat with The Fojol Brothers, a traveling carnival of Ethiopian-inspired cuisine such as beef berbere and collard greens with injera bread.
Go Nuts for Trucks
The Pnut Butter Bar in Los Angeles shows there's more to life than the classic pb 'n' j sandwich, serving up nutty named dishes such as the Elvis-inspired Thank You, Thank You Very Much sandwich that's made with bacon, bananas, peanut butter, honey and then grilled in butter. Next is Snout and Co. in Seattle delivering comfort food drawn upon from Cuba to South Carolina featuring a homemade black bean burger and a pulled pork sandwich with meat that has taken 24 hours to prepare. Then we visit Toronto, Canada, to put in some quality eating time at Smoke's Poutinerie serving up poutine with imported Quebec cheese curds and topped with grilled chicken, Italian sausage and green peas amongst others. Our final stop is in Orange County, Calif., where we flip out on perfect pancakes at the Crepes Bonaparte truck.
Cackalack
In Portland, Ore., we stop for some Southern-style, hot, fried chicken at the Cackalacks Truck serving a selection of sandwiches with a distinctly sweet and spicy taste such as The Blazer and The Jalopy topped with bacon and jalapenos. Next is a trip over to London, England, for the best burritos in town at Luardos offering chicken, pork or steak options out of a divinely inspired van called Jesus. Then we visit Regal Ravioli to see how the pasta king of Austin packs big Texas flavors into his ravishing ravioli featuring varieties like sausage and peppers, mushroom and pecan pesto and butternut squash. Lastly, we drive into Vancouver, Canada, to top up our fluids at The Juice Truck, a bright pink culinary juicing laboratory on wheels. We sample their delicious strawberry coconut smoothie and a wellness tequila shot made of wheatgrass, cayenne, ginger and lemon.
A Truck Load of Fries
First up, in Portland, Ore., we get a taste of sandwiches with a side helping of attitude at the Big Ass Sandwich Truck sampling their Pork Hammer, Beef Dip and Turkey Caesar sandwiches. Then it's bewitching hot dogs in Nashville at the I Dream of Weenie truck, conjuring up tasty dogs like the Hot Southern Mess and the French Toast Weenie. Next we pull up at Lizzie's Lunchbox to get schooled on the finest mix of Texan and Mediterranean dining with fantastical dishes like their Cherry Cola Lamb Kebab and a Bourbon Mango Pulled Pork Sandwich. Finally we knock on the door of The Latin House in Miami, Fla., for some home style cooking including a Muffin Top Burger and a Cabo Wabo Fish Taco.
Mobile Meals
In Atlanta, we visit the Mobile Marlay truck for some classic fish and chips, Irish-style, they also make a mean beef wellington. We then take a trip to Orange County, Calif., to feast at a vegan vehicle; the Seabirds truck serves up succulent jackfruit tacos and has a tasty deep-fried mango for dessert, this truck makes going without meat a real treat. Then for the true carnivores we stop in Nashville, where we sample some smoking southern barbecue at Smoke et Al. Lastly, we get our just desserts in Portland, Ore., where we stuff our pie holes with tasty little deserts from the Pie Spot such as peanut butter and chocolate, whipped banana cream and flambeed marshmallow.
Sea Food & Eat It
In Los Angeles, Eat St slaps on the breaks for scrumptious sea food at Slap Fish such as their super fresh lobster grinder roll and a decadent crab and brie grilled cheese sandwich. Then we're Moroccan and rolling over to New York to the Comme Ci Comme Ca truck who are serving up Moroccan gourmet food like their lovely lemon chicken couscous. Next it's taco time in Atlanta as we pull up at Tex's Tacos for some marvellous Mexicana meals like a super fresh chicken fresca and a perfect pastor de puerco. Final stop is at The Food Farm in San Diego for some healthy classics such as their grass fed sliders, avocado melt sandwich and a yummy coconut rice dessert.
Home Cooking on the Run
We start off in Atlanta at the Ibiza Bites truck for some Spanish and Latin-inspired cuisine such as their Darn Churrasco, a grilled steak with chimichurri sauce with coconut rice. Next we are treated to some home made delights at The Home Skillet truck in Orange County, Calif., two passionate chefs serving up pomegranate riblets, crispy Brussels sprouts and seared sea scallops. Then it's pasta perfection in Portland, Ore., at Artigiano's featuring fabulous fettuccine and gorgeous gnocchi. Lastly we're at the Recess truck in San Diego where we take a time out to savor classic comfort food like a beefy Bully Burger and a Simon Says Southwest Salad featuring chipotle chicken, feta cheese and tortilla chips.
The Truck Stops Here
W.O.W. -- we begin at the Wonderlicious On Wheels truck in Atlanta whose South American inspired snacks are the talk of the town. Smoked pork arepas, sauteed shrimp cakes and a knock out kwanza bowl will have you saying "wow," too. Next is a truly beefed up menu at Hoss' Loaded Burgers in Nashville, where cheese stuffed, grass fed burgers or a vegan patty are driving the locals crazy with delight; gouda, cheddar and blue cheese infusions help seal the deal. Then it's time for some big, bad, gourmet Italian comfort food at The Tasting Spoon truck in Orange County, Calif., such as crispy buttermilk marinated calamari, arancini and even a foie gras slider. Last stop is at the Devilicious truck in San Diego, food so good, it's bad; a butter poached lobster grilled cheese sandwich, chili cheddar stuffed jalapenos and spicy tuna nachos will satisfy the most hellish of appetites.
