Escape - Season 1
Season 1
Episodes
Desert
Five engineers - three women, two men - are stranded in hostile desert terrain. They must engineer their way out of an increasingly critical situation - and quickly.
Mountains
Five of the UK's best engineers must build a vehicle from wreckage and make their escape from a deep canyon in a remote mountainous region. But the climate starts taking its toll.
Jungle
Deep in the heart of a remote jungle, ex-special forces soldier Ant Middleton and five expert engineers are stranded in a simulated crash site where a flash flood has caused vehicles to fall into a crocodile-infested river. The engineers, three women and two men, salvage parts from the wrecked vehicles and, using only the tools they can scavenge or fabricate, must create a new vehicle that's powerful enough to take them all to safety. The engineers are confident they can overcome the challenges, but as the brutal conditions take their toll both physically and mentally, building a boat to navigate the jungle waterways starts to become an overwhelming task.
Desert Island
Five highly skilled engineers are abandoned on a desert island. The ground conditions are extreme as five abandoned engineers seek to build an escape craft out of ship wreckage.
Arctic
A team of expert engineers are abandoned in Arctic conditions in a simulated crash site, with the leftovers of a light aircraft and two snow mobiles. Their only chance of escape is to create a vehicle from the wreckage. Ex-Special Forces soldier and survival expert Ant Middleton oversees the team of three men and two women, who each bring a specific skill to the team - from aircraft mechanics to vehicle engineering. But as the freezing conditions close in, debilitating the group, the engineers are unable to agree on what to construct, and increasingly escape looks unlikely.
