Duisburg: Der Löschzug der Wache 3 rückt zu einem gemeldeten Wohnhausbrand aus. Bei der Ankunft der Feuerwehrleute steigt dichter schwarzer Rauch aus einem Wohnungsfenster auf, die Küche dahinter steht bereits in Vollbrand. Schaffen die Duisburger Rettungskräfte es das Feuer einzudämmen? Können sie die Bewohner, die sich teilweise noch in ihren Wohnungen befinden, schützen?
In einem weiteren Einsatz wird der Christoph 9 zu einer Baustelle gerufen: Ein Bauarbeiter ist aus fast drei Metern Höhe von einer Ladefläche gestürzt und hat sich schwer verletzt. Er muss schnell und schonend ins Krankenhaus gebracht werden.
