The Great Whinsill
In today's episode, Robson is travelling along the route of the Great Whinsill, the rock formations that give Northumberland its distinctive rugged landscape.
His journey begins at The Farne Islands, with the story of Grace Darling, the lighthouse keeper's daughter whose act of heroism made her one of the biggest ‘celebrities' of the Victorian age.
Robson pays a visit to Alnwick Castle, where he is given a tour of a poison garden by the Duchess Of Northumberland and joins in a traditional game of Shrovetide Football.
Robson's journey ends at Hadrian's Wall where he tries his hand at making Roman pottery.
