Amy and Rory
Gok Wan and his team of upcycling experts help families makeover their homes without breaking the bank. In this edition, Gok helps Amy and Rory, who live in a rented flat in London. Rory is a musician and composer, Amy is a designer, and they both love second hand but don't love paying for it. Gok encourages them to gain the confidence to do it themselves. The plan is to makeover the sitting room using a mood board for inspiration, and to create a cool freestanding storage system for the kitchen out of some old scaffolding boards. To complete the makeover, the bedroom is in need of a theme, so Nessa Doran O'Reilly creates an ingenious lamp that will display Amy's beloved shadow puppets.
