Kate and Jay

Gok Wan and his team of upcycling experts help families makeover their homes without breaking the bank. Looking for assistance this time are Kate and Jay from Stevenage. This caring couple are stuck in a council house straight out of 1970. Student and events worker Kate suffers with ME and needs assistance to turn the living room into somewhere she can rest when she suffers an attack. There are no carpets and the walls are covered in peeling 70s wallpaper - not the kind of place for a young family. The dining room is also a disaster - the place looks like a bomb site, and Gok and his team need to use every trick in the book to drag this house into the 21st Century and give it some serious style.
