Gordon Ramsay searches for the country's most exciting and innovative new food and drink business. He has hand-picked 12 of the UK's best up-and-coming food and drink entrepreneurs, who will compete to earn his investment – a whopping £150,000 of his own cash.
Tonight, Gordon invites his entrepreneurs to Glenapp Castle in Scotland, where he challenges them to create banquets celebrating his homeland. Can they meet Gordon's exacting standards?
Episode 2
Gordon meets his remaining 11 contenders in Anglesey, north Wales, to test their raw skills and pure talent. After an expert masterclass on seaweed, the teams must precisely identify and harvest samples of the sustainable crop. Up against the tides, the teams need to traverse the rocks to prove to Gordon they can follow instruction and bring him precisely what he needs.
Next, Gordon tests the contenders' ability to run a business in Wales's glorious Little Italy by the sea, Portmeirion. He asks the teams to create and sell pizzas to locals and tourists - whichever team takes the most money wins.
Finally, it's crunch-time as the contenders come face-to face with Gordon. Who will make the grade, and who will be sent home?
Episode 3
Gordon meets his remaining contenders in Manchester. His first challenge for them is to cater a bottomless brunch hosted by some of the UK's best drag queens! How will the contenders cope as the orders come flooding in, with guests expecting a party atmosphere as well as top-notch food and cocktails?
Next, Gordon ramps up his demands to discover who knows the fitness food market. They'll need to master product development, marketing and design, then face a relentless Q&A from industry greats, including Olympic champion boxer Nicola Adams. Who will prove to be an all-rounder, and who will drop the ball?
Finally, it's the biggest test of all, as the contenders come face-to face with Gordon. Who will survive a one-on-one with the man himself, and who will he send home?
Episode 4
Gordon Ramsay continues his search to find a Future Food Star to invest in. He's hand-picked a host of innovative and exciting entrepreneurs who'll compete for £150,000 through an assault course of challenges.
Tonight, it's all about innovation. First, he invites the contenders to Oxford to replicate a sushi platter as demonstrated by a sushi master. Who will listen and learn? And who will crumble?
Next, Gordon wants the teams to embrace the world of cocktails and seltzers in a can. Will they create a brand that stands out on supermarket shelves? And how will their products go down when Gordon tasks them with launching them at the world-renowned Royal Henley Regatta? With undercover experts reporting into Gordon, will it be a thumbs up or down for the teams' innovations?
Finally, the teams come face to face with Gordon to unpick their performance this week. Who'll survive a one-on-one, and who will be sent packing?
Episode 5
Gordon Ramsay is looking to invest in an up-and-coming food or drink entrepreneur to propel their business to the next level. He has scoured Britain to find the UK's rising stars, who will compete in challenges to win £150,000 of his own cash.
Tonight, Gordon tests how well his contenders can turn humble ingredients into a profit. In the Lake District, he tasks them with collecting pine needles and cones from 40-foot-tall trees to infuse into Michelin-starred millefeuille. Who will attempt the terrifying climb, and will anyone create five-star patisserie and make the grade?
Next, Gordon asks the teams to create bottled sauces in Gateshead. It's a crowded market, so will anyone impress the secret industry greats Gordon has invited to Hawker Market, where the teams will sell their new brands? And will anyone convince Sauce Shop enough to launch their brand as a special edition?
Finally, the contenders come face to face with Gordon to convince him they should stay. Someone has to leave, so who will Gordon send packing?
Episode 6
Gordon's celebrating the very best of British - exquisite produce and the pinnacle of fine dining. First, he invites his entrepreneurs to the Fish Society in Surrey, where he tasks them with perfectly de-shelling one of the most expensive foods you'll find on any menu – lobster. Who will rise to the challenge and replicate Gordon's exquisite masterclass, and who will fall flat?
Next, Gordon sets what might be his toughest challenge to date – he puts the contenders in charge of his high-end Mayfair restaurant, Lucky Cat. With his reputation on the line and paying diners expecting immaculate food and service, will the contenders live up to Gordon's extraordinarily high standards? Or will they crumble under the heat of the kitchen?
Finally, it's crunch time as the contenders come face-to face with Gordon. With nowhere to hide, who will make the grade, and who'll be sent home?
Episode 7
It's semi-final week and Gordon Ramsay is nearing the end of his epic search to find his Future Food Star. He cranks up the pressure as the remaining contenders battle it out for a coveted place in the final and inch one step further to winning his £150,000 investment.
Gordon's always been at the cutting edge of his industry and knows that to stay at the top you must constantly evolve. He'll only partner up with someone who can adapt and change with the times, so tonight it's all about being future-facing.
First, Gordon tests the semi-finalists' social media know-how in Brighton. With tight deadlines and under expert scrutiny from TikTok sensation Uncle Roger, who will prove they know how to sell a local street food brand online?
Next, it's still all about visuals, as Gordon tasks the teams with creating a recipe to appear on the front page of Waitrose's in-house magazine. Can the contenders invent a dish, style and photograph their creation in an appealing fashion? And what happens when they demo their creations in front of undercover experts, including world-renowned food photographer Mary McCartney? Who will rise to the challenge as they vie for a place in the final?
Then, it's time for the grilling when they go one-on-one with Gordon to convince him they should make it to the end. Who will fall at the final hurdle? And who will live to fight another day?
Episode 8
It's the final week, when Gordon Ramsay will choose his Future Food Star. After eight intense weeks of gruelling challenges, Gordon knows that all his finalists have what it takes to partner up with him. It's now time to drill down on their businesses and find out whose product is worthy of his endorsement?
Gordon invites the final three to Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow, a place that saw him forced to end his football career with Rangers and turn his hand to food. Can the finalists embrace change and create a Scottish-limited edition of their products to launch in front of the home crowd? Gordon gives each of them world-renowned experts to help turn their products around and take them to the next level. Who will win their audience over? Whose product will stand up to scrutiny?
Then, it's the most dramatic grilling of their lives, as each of the finalists tries to convince Gordon to back them. Who will hold their nerve? Who will win Gordon's £150,000 investment? And who will Gordon choose to be his Future Food Star?

The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia.
