Scarlett Moffatt joins Alex in Edinburgh, where they visit one of the world's oldest chess clubs, learn the secrets of home brew and head to Loch Leven to try birdwatching in the company of a couple of keen twitchers.
South Wales
Alex Brooker and guest Joe Wilkinson explore people's hobbies in south Wales. They begin in Swansea, where former nurse Morgan teaches them to knit. After a shaky start, they surprise themselves with their newfound love for needles and wool. Next up is fly-fishing, where Alex and Joe master the basics thanks to a member of the Welsh national fly-fishing team. Finally, the duo join photographers from Cardiff Shooters on a photo walk around the Bay and find out how digital editing has changed photography.
Wiltshire, Berkshire and London
Actor and comedian Joe Thomas joins Alex Brooker for a tour of Wiltshire, Berkshire and London. With dog agility, lawn bowls and mudlarking on the agenda, the pair get set to learn about a new raft of pastimes and meet the people who love them. Their journey begins in Wiltshire, where Crufts gold medal winner Abby introduces Alex and Joe to her dog, Sprint. As neither has a dog of their own, they are lent their own canine friends for the day in the form of Smartie and Dream.
Yorkshire
Alex Brooker celebrates the world of hobbies, visiting Yorkshire with chef and broadcaster Andi Oliver. The duo explore the worlds of model railways and engineering and take to the skies at the Yorkshire Gliding Club near Thirsk. Later, they head to Leeds for a salsa dance lesson and find out just why the dance, which has its origins in Cuba, has become such a hit in the UK.

Grantchester
Eavesdropping on the life of Sidney Chambers, a charismatic, charming, crime-fighting clergyman, and his partner in crime Police Inspector Geordie Keating, became a highlight for the audience who revelled in their on screen partnership. Geordie's plain-speaking, down to earth approach to policing complemented Sidney's more gentle technique of coaxing information from witnesses and suspects. Their unlikely pairing became a true friendship as each offered a different insight into the crimes they unravelled.
