Episode 1

We meet lairy lovebirds Ollie and Sophie from Cambourne, and Welsh body-building couple Lewis and Beth.

Ollie moved in with Sophie six months ago, and now her full-on family are driving them both up the wall. There are constant arguments between the six people that live under the one roof, leaving the couple no peace, quiet or privacy. Sophie's parents have also reached the end of their tether with the noise and the mess, refusing to even enter their kids' rooms.

Sophie and Ollie are hardly shrinking violets - they bicker with the best of them, but seem to think that life in a flat will be heaven on earth. When they move out, how long will Ollie be prepared to keep the peace? Will fiery Sophie be able to keep her temper in check?

In south Wales, pumped-up pair Beth and Lewis are forced to sleep in a fold-out bed in the living room, which doesn't do much for a romantic relationship, plus their body-building lifestyle means that they are protein addicts, spending a fortune on meat and eating Beth's parents out of house and home. This muscly couple are desperate for their privacy and a chance to take their relationship to the next level.

But will moving out be child's play for these big kids? With a series of household challenges to overcome, will independent life turn sour when Lewis and Beth are forced to rely on just each other for the week?

Harj and Chloe live under the roof of Harj's mum, who cooks, cleans and even gets Harj up for work in the morning. Chloe helps out with chores, but her lack of self-confidence is holding her back when it comes to job hunting. The pair are keen to put their independence to the test by moving out. But when faced with a flat of their own and the challenges that come with it, will Chloe dig deep to conquer her insecurities and will Harj be willing to change for the sake of their relationship?

Hannah moved Scott in when his work and social life became so hectic that she barely saw him. But thanks to a little brother with a love of computer football, Hannah doesn't see much more of Scott nowadays either - hence her desire to move out and spend more time with her boy. When the pair make the move, will independent living be the friend-fest they imagined or will the pressures of living away from home mean the couple learn some hard lessons about each other and themselves?

Charlie lives the life of a modern-day Peter Pan, refusing to grow up and help out his long-suffering mum. Charlie has also moved his very own Tinkerbell in too; he and model girlfriend Emma spend endless days lazing around their bedroom, whilst Charlie's mum does all the cooking and cleaning and even pays all the bills.

As they move in to their own place, will our Peter Pan man up, or will his Tinkerbell lose her shine? As the challenges of independent living hit home, will this couple be able turn their dream of a fairytale life together into reality?

Katie lives with her mum, two sisters and two brothers, in a manic household where tantrums and tears are the norm. Now 16-year-old Katie has moved boyfriend Brandon in too - but they are desperate to escape the chaos and live in a pad of their own, despite their rather relaxed attitude to household chores.

When this couple finally move out, will Brandon find the job he needs to make the move permanent, and will Katie prove to her mum that she is capable of living away from home for good?

The Repair Shop

The Repair Shop is a workshop of dreams, where broken or damaged cherished family heirlooms are brought back to life.

Furniture restorers, horologists, metal workers, ceramicists, upholsterers and all manner of skilled craftsmen and women have been brought together to work in one extraordinary space, restoring much-loved possessions to their former glory.

Many of these items have incredible stories behind them and a unique place in history: from an accordion played in the Blitz by a woman who is now in her 90s, to a beautifully crafted clock made by a father who was completely blind; a Pinball machine that is currently being used as a kitchen counter, and a Davenport desk with its trademark fake drawers which fooled burglars - and their crowbar.

The Repair Shop is an antidote to our throwaway culture and shines a light on the wonderful treasures to be found in homes across the country.
