Tom's new boat, Barracuda, is a financial success. The Shellet / Rolf trial draws to a close. When Lynne fails to return home, Jan is very concerned. Meanwhile, Ken offers her a shoulder to cry on. Tom searches for Lynne and holds Charles responsible for her disappearance. Avril is frustrated by Tom's obsession with finding Lynne. The father of Abby's baby, Orin, is due to arrive in Tarrant and this effects Abby's relationship with Leo.

Charles' re-organisation at Relton causes conflict. He is also learns the truth about Abby's paternity. Claude is involved in a skiing accident.
