Intervention - Season 25

Former high school football star, Nick, and his girlfriend, Emily, were once happy, popular kids from well-to-do families. Now both heavily addicted to carfentanil, an opioid 10,000 times more potent than morphine, they live a life of reckless use and petty crime, all while staying at Nick's parents' home. Helpless to stop this destructive behavior and at their wits' end, Nick's family has stepped up to offer their son--and Emily--a final shot at getting clean.

Three addicted brothers have turned their childhood home into a hellish drug den where death is constantly at the door. As the brothers continue to struggle with the extreme abuse they suffered growing up, their mother sinks under the stress of continuous using, violent fighting and overdoses that have become the norm.

Jessica, a former high school beauty queen burdened by sexual trauma at an early age, is now just a shadow of her former self. As a teen mom, Jessica went to college and did her best to provide for her children, but when a toxic ex introduced her to the drug trade, Jessica became wrapped up in a life of luxury and easy money. Now hopelessly addicted to fentanyl and meth and living with another 'bad-boy' boyfriend, Jessica is about to become a grandmother. Jessica's daughter has given a clear ultimatum: her grandchild or the drugs.

Nineteen-year-old Melissa went from being a happy-go-lucky high achiever to every parent's worst nightmare. Once a star athlete who spent her free time volunteering, Melissa now spends her days hungry for her next line of cocaine or sip of vodka. After experiencing a sexual assault as a young teen, Melissa began experimenting with drugs and alcohol and was eventually lured into the dark world of sex trafficking. Consuming more potent drug cocktails with each passing week, Melissa's family lives in terror that instead of celebrating her 20th birthday this year, they'll be arranging her funeral. Tim and Jessica, both 43, first met in the 6th grade but three years ago they reconnected on Facebook and embarked on a chaotic, drug-fueled romance that is destroying their lives. Tim's $300 a day fentanyl, crack cocaine and alcohol addiction has caused him to lose his business, spend time in jail, and OD in front of his father. Jess's newly acquired fentanyl habit is severing relationships with the people who previously meant the most to her: her ill father, her loving mother, and her three teenage-children all mourn how her addiction has become a main priority in her life. If Tim and Jessica don't get help, there's a very real possibility that one or both will die from their addiction. (Interventionists: Darren Hobbs and Zach Livingston)

When devoted animal rescuer, Shannon, develops a drug addiction, the one thing she can't seem to rescue is herself. Childhood trauma, sexual abuse and toxic relationships become an explosive mix, fueling the addiction that threatens both her life and her relationship with her three-year-old daughter.

For Gabby and Patryk, it was love at first sight. So much so that 9-months later, Gabby gave birth to their daughter. They both happen to be heavily addicted to drugs, and in the case of Patryk; the drug dealing lifestyle. Their using has cost them custody of their daughter, run-ins with law enforcement and the estrangement of most family members. Those that remain question Gabby and Patryk's commitment to one another given that they have been in active addiction since they first met. They use heroin and crack daily; much of it cut with fentanyl. If they don't get clean their love story will end with them in prison or worse. (Interventionists: Amanda Marino and Mike Diamond.)

Once a 6'7' teenage basketball prodigy, everyone thought Greg would reach the height of success. Unfortunately, his dreams were cut down when his father, once his biggest hero, abandoned his family for life in a homeless camp. Disappointed by his own failed athletic career, his father had found a new life in drugs and alcohol, and ultimately introduced his own son to crack cocaine. Now 31, Greg is addicted to a deadly mix of fentanyl and meth and living on the streets. Kept alive only by luck and the last vestige of a dream of becoming a professional musician, his mother and sisters watch in horror as their once gentle giant spirals out of control.

Erika and Joey used meth together on their first date, beginning a drug-fueled romance that has wreaked havoc on their families. Joey's family refuses to be around Erika, leading to tension in the relationship. With the couple now living in a shed and cut off from their children, both families must come together to save Erika and Joey before it is too late.

Tommy and Melly, both 19, have had a troubled life for two people so young. Both grew up in hardworking families, surrounded by a lot of love, but also a lot of pain. Tommy's father, struggling to take care of his family, used alcohol as an escape which lead to violence in the household. In Tommy's teens, he witnessed the death of his beloved uncle due to fentanyl. Within months, Tommy was using the same deadly drug to numb is pain. Melly was always the "wild child" and her single mother did her best to manage her. In her early teens, Melly was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, but by then she was pregnant, with a drug addicted boyfriend, and soon living on the streets. Melly and Tommy found each other at a low point in their lives and since then, have been spiraling deeper and deeper into fentanyl and meth addiction. Cassandra and Steven met in a rehabilitation center five and a half years ago. After leaving treatment, they moved in together and shortly thereafter were engaged to be married. But this rehab romance soon lost its luster, as both quickly relapsed, spiraling deep into addiction. They now live in a motel outside Detroit, where smoking crack and shooting heroin/fentanyl is their only focus. Their heartbroken families are worried that if Cassandra and Steven don't get help soon their days are numbered. (Interventionists: Darren Hobbs & Zack Livingston)

Once a dedicated athlete, Garrett turned to fentanyl after a string of tragic losses. Shantell, who was in college and working as a barista, began using heroin after a nasty breakup and the death of her beloved grandmother. She moved home to Omak, Washington where she needed a new heroin connection--and was introduced to Garrett. After Shantell overdosed on the drugs Garrett supplied her with, he saved her life and the two fell in love. Four years later, both Garrett and Shantell are heavily addicted to fentanyl and meth and their families believe they will die if they don't get help now.

Carlee, 26, and Cody, 28, became friends in middle school. Years later, their friendship turned to romance, crack cocaine and a life of crime. Despite the onset of drug-induced seizures, an overdose, and the recent death of their 6-month-old son, Carlee and Cody believe this is a passing phase. With the constant enabling from Cody's father, they have no reason to quit this lifestyle and their families fear that their relationship will end tragically. Corinne, 30, met Joey, 36, while she was babysitting his 3 kids from a previous relationship and it was love and drugs at first sight. On their second date they smoked meth together and 3-years later their lives in Northern California are spent scrounging together money for meth, smoking whatever they can get their hands on, and professing their undying love for one another. Their troubled relationships with their loved ones and estrangement from their kids leave little prospects for a better life unless they can get clean. Their families want them to get better but worry that their relationship is more harmful than good. This intervention could be their last chance. Once a loving mother to her five children, Danielle was the pride and joy of her family until a series of traumas from her past--a sexual assault, the loss of her first-born child, and the sudden death of her estranged husband--finally caught up with her. Now hopelessly addicted to fentanyl, she struggles to survive in the streets while her children live in fear that the next time they see her will be at the local morgue. Cody and Erin have a loving relationship, primarily founded on their addiction to drugs. Once a couple of bright kids with decent futures ahead of them, hard circumstances and family loss have derailed them. Now both sad echoes of their former selves, they enable one another's reckless use of fentanyl and crystal meth in a heart-breaking, life-threatening way that has consumed nearly half their young lives. Golden child Tristan excelled at academics and the arts, winning scholarships and lead parts in theatre productions. But beneath the "perfect kid" exterior, he carried the trauma of domestic abuse witnessed at home while also struggling with identity as a gay, mixed race, young man. After a sexual assault at university, he spiraled into severe alcoholism. Now his liver is failing, and revolving trips to the emergency room have his family fearing for his life.
