Jamie helps Sarah Millican cook her favourite microwave meal from scratch. Jimmy builds a soft-serve ice cream machine. And the boys champion British rose veal.

Jamie and Jimmy welcome Ashley Jensen to the café. On the menu is beef wrapped in Parma ham and mushrooms, and homemade pasta and truffle.

Comedian Greg Davies visits the café. Jamie makes a Welsh lamb kebab while Greg learns how to make a Thai green curry.

Jamie helps actor Warwick Davis make beef and Stilton pie at the café on the pier. There's also a Vietnamese feast, hog roast, and British honey.

The boys welcome Chris O'Dowd and Dawn O'Porter and make their favourite honeymoon meal: Caribbean red snapper. Plus ribs with whisky and Worcestershire BBQ sauce.

The catch? They have to work together, with each using their unique skills to solve crimes. For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. Against the backdrop of beautiful Vancouver — with all its unique, charming, and even contradictory neighbourhoods and subcultures — the two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners.
