Episode 2

In the desirable village of Radlett, Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer dive headfirst into a clash that's in danger of boiling over. Aneri, Nihar and their young daughter live in a three-bedroom end-of-terrace cottage. Aneri is desperate to leave behind the tight layout that prevents family gatherings, with its cubbyhole kitchen and lack of must-haves, such as a downstairs toilet. Nihar, however, is defiant that they will live there forever, refusing to let go of their beloved garden, and holds out hope that Kirstie can come up with a plan to resolve this two-year argument. With a £100,000 Love It budget, Kirstie faces a tall order and a planning headache that threatens to derail the whole build. Meanwhile, Phil is in his element finding dream properties with a £750,000 List It budget, but will Aneri play ball?

Classic characters old and new across thousands of episodes have shared a drink in The Queen Vic, shed tears of despair or joy, sat on Arthur's bench in the Square... and at some point or other they probably crossed paths with Ian Beale.
