Determined to sue her husband, George Sand returns to her lands in Nohant. Aware that her chances of winning her case are slim, she relies on lawyer Michel de Bourges to plead her case. Offended that she has obtained a public trial, Baron Dudevant wants to make her pay for this affront. He instructs his henchman to silence her once and for all. More threatened than ever, George Sand will take all risks to free herself from this tyrannical guardianship and win the fight that will make her a free woman.
