Lolita Lobosco investigates the murder of a beautiful woman who has been missing from home for over a week: Bianca Empoli. The woman is an established musician who, unbeknownst to her husband, Vito Loconsole, has rented an apartment to study and prepare for her solo concerts. And that's where her body was found by the neighbors. So Lolita finds herself digging into the life of Bianca, her age, and confronting the woman's unusual choices. Her death appears to her as the bitter epilogue of a life so rewarded by success as marked by loneliness. And the discovery of the truth will be even more bitter for our beautiful policewoman.

Deputy Commissioner Lolita Lobosco, summoned early in the morning by the shouts of passers-by, rushes to the restaurant near her home where they serve the renowned "Spaghetti all'Assassina" and where she finds the body of the cook, Geppino Schirone, known as Pap'russ. It's a murder case that seems to have no culprits, but which slowly highlights a bad story that revolves around the death of the man who turns out to be a completely different character than he appeared, full of shadows and ambiguities

It seems to be a suicide, but this version does not satisfy Lolita's investigative acumen, who decides to further investigate the case, which is already destined to be closed. With determination and stubbornness Lolita thus manages to shed light not only on the mysterious end of Vittorio but on a wider and more complex scenario, where money, corruption and death are the masters. And above all, she will be able to clarify her feelings and discover an unexpected truth about her father.

The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one-third of the time. Good luck, Bill!
