Sun-hop goes into the forest alone and is about to take his own life. Mei-la rushes to the scene and manages to intervene. The duo tearfully embrace each other. Ching-mui and Yat-ha promptly show up and see what is happening. They are devastated and resort to drinking their sorrows away. They kiss and spend the night together. After waking up, they are then afraid of people finding out they have slept together. They just have to keep this a secret. Sun-hop requests that Zaw is allowed to testify by video link. Yat-ha also convinces Fook-chuen to plead not guilty. In court Zaw points out there was some third person at the death scene, but he did not see their face. He is quashed by Chun-ngok. After recess, Kin-fung also begins to suspect Fook-chuen. Yu-heen gets furious and starts an argument with Kin-fung. In court Sun-hop asks Fook-chuen who was the third person at the death scene.
