Michael Manzo travels unfamiliar waters in an effort to broaden his hunting grounds. Johnny Rolfe finds himself a new man in a new land in the Brooks Range.

Hard Luck
The next generation of Alaskans must adapt in order to survive winter. Chris and Jessi Morse battle the Cosna River for fish, while the Rowlands must find new ways to provide for their family. Michael Manzo navigates the most challenging rivers of his life in order to hunt moose before time runs out, and Alex Javor scouts far and wide in hopes to secure meat for before dark winter hits.

Too Young to Die
It's the last chance to start projects before dark winter. Chris and Jessi Morse explore new land in hopes to source enough wood to last, while the Rowlands fly high to accomplish a critical task. To begin construction on his new cabin, Alex Javor must overcome a major obstacle; and Johnny Rolfe winterizes his cabin in anticipation of the brutal 60-degree temperatures that will soon arrive.

Ghost in the Woods
As winter's icy grasp begins to tighten, Chris and Jessi Morse wage war with an aggressive predator, while Kaleb and Brittany teach survival skills to the fourth generation of Rowland children. Alex Javor finds himself surrounded by trees threatening his only source of shelter, and Michael Manzo races Mother Nature's clock and battles harsh terrain to break ground on a future cabin.

Chris and Jessi Morse build a mobile cabin to broaden their trapping locations, and the Rowlands build a sauna in hopes to stay healthy while raising a family through a pandemic in harsh winter. Johnny Rolfe employs primal ways to ensure his partner survives, and Michael Manzo strands himself to prepare for a worst-case scenario during expeditions.

Trial by Fire
Alaskans must endure the harsh Arctic winter elements. In need of warmth, Johnny Rolfe sets out in hopes of harvesting firewood. Alex Javor must clear the only emergency trail to his cabin to prepare for a worst-case scenario. Chris and Jessi Morse continue to build on their off-grid lifestyle, and Michael Manzo constructs a meat cache to keep surrounding predators off his vital provisions

The Challenge
Dark winter arrives in Alaska, and residents brace for the worst. Johnny Rolfe must brave the coldest temperatures in his experience to secure crucial meat. Michael Manzo trains his sled dogs the only way he knows how, while Alex Javor attempts to protect his most valuable asset in the bush. The Rowlands employ old traditions of staying warm to pass down important lessons to the next generation.

Primal Ways
As winter tightens its grip, the next generation of Alaskans must work in harmony with the harsh terrain. Johnny Rolfe sets out to trap Marten for the first time. Low on supplies, Chris and Jessi Morse work to construct an airstrip as an outlet to the outside world. The Rowlands work to build a sled for future expeditions, while Alex Javor attempts to secure vital protein he desperately needs.

Hungry Winter
With rations low and temperatures dropping winter is not giving up its grip. At a remote lake, Michael Manzo breaks a new trail in search of winter fish, while Johnny Rolfe attempts to scout areas no ones ever been. Jessi Morse prepares, for the first time; to process the hide of a once in a lifetime catch and Kaleb Rowland must travel a deadly route just to keep his family warm.

Change of Plans
As endless winter drags on in Alaska nutrition is more important than ever for its residents. The Rowland's must adapt in order to explore new hunting grounds. Alex and Sipsey embark on a new expedition in hopes for the mother load of fish. Chris and Jessi Morse must secure their food supply or risk everything they've worked so hard for and Michael Manzo travels by dog-team across dangerous terrain to build a new fishing camp.

Unfinished Business
As deep winter continues, Alaskans must listen to Mother Nature in order to survive. After a life-threatening accident, Chris and Jessi Morse head back to ground zero to gather much needed wood. Desperate for meat, Alex Javor's river expedition brings a surprise he didn't expect. En route to fish, Michael Manzo loses control of his dog sled jeopardizing his mission while the Rowland family splits up to handle projects at their homestead.
