Episode 1
Ian and Emma get back from their holiday in Spain and return to their normal lives. Ian has recently been made redundant and is beginning to adapt to his new existence. Emma is doing well at work and trying to balance that with Ian's feelings. Then their daughter Jessica gets in touch and wants to bring her boyfriend round to meet them.
Episode 2
Ian continues his job search with no success. Meanwhile, Emma is excited to find she has the opportunity to go to a work conference, where she might get contacts for her business idea. She's nervous of telling Ian, but when Ian meets Emma's boss and hears about the conference through him, he confronts her. Emma's father interrupts their anniversary plans. Jessica has an argument with Adam and looks for a way out.
Episode 3
Emma attends the conference with Jamie. Ian waits at home and wonders what she's up to. Jessica meets a new friend who could be something more.
Episode 4
Jessica moves home, and Ian gets to spend some time with her. Jamie receives an unexpected visitor. Emma decides to tell him and her father some truths.

For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. Against the backdrop of beautiful Vancouver — with all its unique, charming, and even contradictory neighbourhoods and subcultures — the two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners.
The Handmaid's Tale
The Handmaid's Tale is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Facing environmental disasters and a plunging birthrate, Gilead is ruled by a twisted fundamentalism in its militarized ‘return to traditional values'. As one of the few remaining fertile women, Offred is a Handmaid in the Commander's household, one of the caste of women forced into sexual servitude as a last desperate attempt to repopulate the world. In this terrifying society, Offred must navigate between Commanders, their cruel Wives, domestic Marthas, and her fellow Handmaids – where anyone could be a spy for Gilead – all with one goal: to survive and find the daughter that was taken from her.
