MOTD Live: UEFA Euro 2024 - Serbia v England

Coverage of the Group C match from Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen, as Gareth Southgate's men kick off their tournament. The Three Lions famously finished runners-up at the previous finals, losing on penalties to Italy in the showpiece match, despite taking an early lead through a Luke Shaw goal. They go into the finals as one of the favourites to lift the trophy this time around, with the likes of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden having exceptional seasons for their clubs, and a wealth of talent at Southgate's disposal. Their opponents are playing at their first Euros since they separated from Montenegro and became just Serbia, and will be looking to upset the odds in this encounter. They made it to this tournament by finishing second in their qualifying group on 14 points, four behind Hungary, whom they lost to twice, and they would be happy with a point in this first competitive meeting between the nations. Gary Lineker presents, with commentary by Guy Mowbray and Alan Shearer.
