Episodes
Vanished
When Roman Dial learned his son was missing in Costa Rica, he searched hundreds of square miles of the Corcovado National Rainforest hoping to find him – but Cody Dial had disappeared without a trace. Believing his son is a victim of foul play, Roman begins a new search with investigators Carson and Ken. Together they will retrace Cody's steps and uncover the truth about his disappearance.
Prime Suspect
Cody Roman's backpack turns up at the U.S. embassy, confirming that he made it out of the jungle alive. This break in the case means one thing — someone must have seen Cody back in town before he disappeared. As Roman and Peggy hand out flyers and Carson and Ken bang on doors, they learn Cody was last seen with a local referred to as "Pata de Lora" – who proves to be a very hard man to find.
Into the Jungle
In order to find out what happened to Cody Dial, Ken follows Pata de Lora, the last person to see Cody alive, into the jungle to retrace his steps. Along the way, they encounter a local illegal gold miner, Guicho, who raises Ken's suspicions. While Ken treks through the jungle, Carson enlists the help of two locals to wiretap and record a conversation with Pata de Lora, leading to a new suspect.
The Interrogation
Ken and Carson must interrogate Pata de Lora to determine whether he's the prime suspect or the prime witness to the crime. During the interrogation, Pata reveals new information about Cody's killer but Roman has doubts, leading to an argument with Carson about the direction of the investigation.
A Father's Plea
When Ken and Carson are unable to get an admission from the prime suspect, they must make other plans. They turn to Pata de Lora in an effort to persuade him to make a statement to the Costa Rican authorities. Will he talk, despite his deep distrust of the government?
The Confrontation
In this explosive finale, the investigation comes to a head when Pata de Lora must confront those he accused of killing Cody Roman Dial. Just as the team is about to get some form of closure, they're thrown a curveball as new information is brought to light, leading to a startling conclusion.
