Episode 1
The body of Charly Hendricks has been found at an old run-down property she was renting from the local pub landlord. It's up to four pairs of amateur sleuths to search the scene and unpick the clues, hoping to find a motive for the crime.
Episode 2
After 24 hours on the island each of the four rookie detective teams has a theory of what happened to Charly and who they suspect. Chrissie and Caroline press Tony on just how well he knew the victim, Sarah and Richmond believe Charly was caught up in a love triangle, Rox and Dot investigate what happened after the pub meeting, and Nick and Andrew show they are willing to bend the rules to get a result.
Episode 3
A mysterious dinghy washes up on the beach as the teams are informed the island is a known drug smuggling route. Could this be another motive for murder? As the rookie detectives try to get their heads around the case, new evidence drops in the form of criminal records. But they have to rush to prepare their cases as one team will be removed by the end of the day.
Episode 4
The remaining teams are under increasing pressure to apprehend Charly's murderer. Freddie Forrester reveals that land agent Alicia Devere is not as sweet and innocent as she appears and new forensic evidence also seems to cast further suspicion in Alicia's direction. However, another pair are still doggedly going after their number one suspect, Hamish Gowdie. With two suspects in custody, the net begins to tighten. But the detectives cannot let their guard down as one more team is about to be taken off the case.
Episode 5
The two remaining teams focus down on their suspects, but as they close in on the truth, the race is on to find a vital piece of evidence that could reveal the motive for the murder.
Episode 6
The last two rookie detectives are closing in on Charly Hendricks' killer. But can they get a confession, or prove whodunnit for certain, and walk away with the £50,000 reward?

When it's snowing hard up top on the summit of ‘The Coq', 1200 metres below its pounding rain in The Fraser Valley. Add to that, Canada's busiest trucking route to the West Coast, Highway 1 (Trans Canada Hwy), and you have the ‘Bermuda Triangle' of trucking. Police and highway maintenance crews depend on Highway Thru Hell's heavy rescue operators to respond at a moment's notice in the worst conditions. In between the winter storms, the teams ‘off road' skills are put to the test. The rugged terrain near Hope, British Columbia dishes out some of the most unique and challenging recovery jobs over steep cliffs, down deep ravines and even in bodies of water. Highway Thru Hell is ultimately a series about man versus Mother Nature and the toughest men in the towing business being pushed to their breaking point. The stakes are high - lives, the economy and thousands of jobs depend on the highways staying open, and the last line of defense is Heavy Rescue.
