Episode 2
Chartered surveyors Alex and Charley open a hotel in Corfu. However, Alex still has to regularly return to London for work, leaving Charley alone on an island where she does not speak the language, has no friends or family, and running a business she has no experience of. In Crete, Kate considers whether she wants to pursue a romance with a local shepherd, and tensions are rising for a family that has been stuck on board their yacht together for the last nine hours - especially when a medical emergency occurs.

In Corfu, Charley takes a trip to the market, where she hopes to practice her Greek. She also faces a demanding first shift working at the hotel. A newly arrived couple expecting their first child face a difficult first winter on the island. In Crete, Kate finds an unexpected surprise in her new home, while Laura discusses her past career as a champion bodybuilder and the medical condition that causes pain all over her body.
