San Francisco announced it set a gruesome record this week, surpassing the most overdose deaths in a single year with 752,000 through November. The CDC issued an urgent warning as flu hospitalizations have spiked 200 percent over the last four weeks. This comes as hospitalizations for RSV and Covid are surging as well. NBC News' Morgan Chesky has more details as many travel this holiday season.Russian President Putin's spokesman weighed in on the upcoming U.S. presidential election, saying Putin would like to see someone who is "more constructive towards our country." Israeli troops are training for what they call "potential scenarios" in the country's north amid possible escalation with Hezbollah at the border with Lebanon. NBC News' Hallie Jackson traveled to the northern border and reports on the preparations underway and the evacuations of towns in the area. A federal jury in Washington, D.C. ordered former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to pay more than $148 million in damages to two former Georgia poll workers he falsely accused of election fraud. Giuliani vowed to appeal and refused to back down on his claims. NBC News' Ken Dilanian reports.
