Lukesville, Arizona is struggling to handle the large number of migrants that is pushing border patrol past capacity. Border agents are taking migrants to Tucson, where they are processed, and most are released into the U.S. NBC News' Julia Ainsley has more details. Since Hamas' October 7 attack on Israel, the Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv has dedicated an entire floor to the rehab of wounded Israeli soldiers. NBC News' Hala Gorani was granted access inside by the military and spoke to a soldier recovering from the assault.31 million people are on Medicare Advantage plans, a private alternative to traditional Medicare. The plans are often cheaper and promise better benefits. However, the CEOs of rural hospital systems in six states told NBC News that Medicare Advantage routinely denies reimbursements for necessary care. NBC News' Sam Brock reports. Major airlines and airports have been preparing for months to meet the holiday season's unprecedented demand with measures like new screening machines. The FAA is also trying to curb close calls on the runway. NBC News' Emilie Ikeda has the latest. National Security advisor Jake Sullivan met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today and told him that the U.S. wants Israel to end its large-scale ground campaign in Gaza, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the discussion. NBC News' Richard Engel reports on the aftermath of Israeli strikes in Gaza.

San Francisco announced it set a gruesome record this week, surpassing the most overdose deaths in a single year with 752,000 through November. NBC News' Jacob Soboroff reports on the group of volunteers who are using a supervised consumption site to save lives but are going against the law to do so. The CDC issued an urgent warning as flu hospitalizations have spiked 200 percent over the last four weeks. This comes as hospitalizations for RSV and Covid are surging as well. NBC News' Morgan Chesky has more details as many travel this holiday season.Russian President Putin's spokesman weighed in on the upcoming U.S. presidential election, saying Putin would like to see someone who is "more constructive towards our country." The spokesman said Putin "would be ready to work with anyone who's ready to work with him." NBC News' Keir Simmons reports. Israeli troops are training for what they call "potential scenarios" in the country's north amid possible escalation with Hezbollah at the border with Lebanon. NBC News' Hallie Jackson traveled to the northern border and reports on the preparations underway and the evacuations of towns in the area. A federal jury in Washington, D.C. ordered former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to pay more than $148 million in damages to two former Georgia poll workers he falsely accused of election fraud. Giuliani vowed to appeal and refused to back down on his claims. NBC News' Ken Dilanian reports.

Lois is Peter's wife, a stay-at-home mom with no patience for her family's antics. Then there are their kids: 18-year-old Meg is an outcast at school and the Griffin family punching bag; 13-year-old Chris is a socially awkward teen who doesn't have a clue about the opposite sex; and one-year-old Stewie is a diabolically clever baby whose burgeoning sexuality is very much a work in progress. Rounding out the Griffin household is Brian the family dog and a ladies' man who is one step away from AA.
