Former policeman Paweł Sikora leads a quiet retirement life. He often takes care of his granddaughter because his daughter Lidka works around the clock. Together with police officer Lato, he conducts an engaging investigation into a series of murders of elderly, single women. The officers know who the murderer is, but they have no evidence. Another crime makes Lidka decide to get this evidence by direct confrontation with the murderer. Meanwhile, Blacha, a businessman and a crown witness, gives another testimony in court against the mafia. He doesn't complain about life. He records audiobooks, and his books about former colleagues are selling very well. To make matters worse, he has a new beautiful wife - Patrycja, he is on good terms with his ex-wife Mira, and their daughter Kasia has just graduated from law with honors. After the exam, the whole family gathers at a fancy restaurant to celebrate. Meanwhile, in the media there is information that Blacha killed someone. This accusation affects not only the crown witness protection program in Poland, but the entire life of the former policeman and literary gangster. Sikora, although he promised himself that he would never meet Blacha again, must find him. He also has no choice but to ask the pensioner for help.
