In the first episode, police in Sunderland come to the aid of a 70-year-old who has been robbed at knife-point by masked assailants, who have made off with £15,000 in cash. In a secluded hamlet where sheep outnumber people, PC Curtis Ritchie investigates the theft of a vintage Land Rover Defender, which turns out to be one of many vehicles stolen on the same night.
Episode 2
In the second edition, police officers in Sunderland respond to the fatal stabbing of 62-year-old grandmother Joan Hoggett, who was killed in the shop that she worked in by 19-year-old Ethan Mountain. Meanwhile, detectives work tirelessly to a complicated crime spree, where offenders have stolen a pub jukebox, tip jar and charity box and while attempting to flee police have stolen a car and mugged a passer-by.

This episode follows Northumbria Police as they tackle evolving modern crimes in an ever-changing world, including child trafficking and the downloading of indecent images of children, and the effect investigating these cases has on the officers themselves - from seasoned detectives to new response officers.
Episode 5
Drug-related crime is on the rise in Northumbria. Detectives, neighbourhood teams and response units respond to the fall out - robberies, burglaries and fatal overdoses.

Dave realizes that fitting into their new community is more complex than he expected, but if he can find a way to connect with Calvin, they have an excellent chance of making their new neighborhood their home.
