Eight elite pumpkin carvers begin their journey to become the next Outrageous Pumpkins Champion. Host Damaris Phillips starts off with a challenge to create the best porch display in the neighborhood so they can show off their artistic point of view for judges Ralph Attanasia and Terri Harden.
Stacks of Jacks
Host Damaris Phillips is all about everyone's favorite Halloween decoration, the jack-o'-lantern, so she tasks the carvers with creating topsy-turvy, gravity-defying stacks of jacks. Then in the Big Carve, the competitors must impress judges Ralph Attanasia and Terri Hardin with a spooky jack-o'-lantern skeletal structure to stay safe from elimination.
Pop Culture Pumpkins
Halfway to pumpkin carving glory, host Damaris Phillips ramps up the competition by challenging the carvers with 3D pop culture pumpkins! They put their best foot forward creating 3D sculptures that highlight iconic fashion eras before bringing common literary phrases with a deadly twist to life for judges Ralph Attanasia and Terri Hardin.
Superheroes and Super Structures
The final five carvers pull out all the stops when host Damaris Phillips challenges them create their own superhero and superpower. Then, things get supersized in the Big Carve when the competitors depict a scene of the one and only DC's Batman facing off against one of his iconic enemies to save Gotham City and judges Ralph Attanasia and Terri Hardin.
Giants on Parade
It's the grand finale, and the final four carvers must impress judges Ralph Attanasia and Terri Hardin in two rounds to win $25,000 and the coveted prize belt. Host Damaris Phillips tasks them with creating the winning monster entry in the Miss/Mr. Underworld Pageant, complete with pageant talent. Then, it's time for giants on parade as the competitors transform 2,000-lb Atlantic Giant pumpkins into a spooktacular Halloween parade float.
