Final Semester
Suspenseful, if complicated entry, holds your attention because of the characters rather than the plot. A charming, well-liked professor is killed shortly after Barry Meadows, a student and basketball star, is heard threatening the teacher for taking over his girl. Owen Marshall's difficult problem is to track down the professor's possible enemies, since Barry insists on his innocence, and his detective work leads him to the victim's wife (Diana Hyland) and his successor (William Smithers), both exceedingly well written and performed.
