El David, fart del Nadal i del consumisme que l'envolta, obre els ulls al Lopes i decideixen no celebrar el Nadal i passar aquests dies com si fossin normals. Amb l'excusa de celebrar un dia normal, poc a poc comencen a fer el mateix que si haguessin celebrat el Nadal: fan escudella amb carn d'olla, engalanen un arbre de Nadal i celebren un sopar amb torrons i regals. Per altra banda, l'Emma ha estat contractada pel Pare Noel per repartir regals, encara que ella no el coneix i es pensa que és una multinacional molt important que reparteix paquets arreu del món. Després del primer dia de treball, l'Emma arriba congelada, de manera que intenta fer llàstima a la Carbonell i aquesta l'acaba substituint. Per la seva part, el Ramon i la Mercedes compren conjuntament un dècim de loteria com cada any. Després del sorteig, els toca la grossa però el Ramon li diu a la Mercedes que no ha comprat el dècim i així quedar-se tot el premi. La Mercedes s'ensuma alguna cosa i menteix al Ramon dient-li que necessitava els diners per regalar una màquina de diàlisi a la seva germana.
