Women from across the globe find love inside American prisons. In Germany, Svea prepares to meet her boyfriend, Joseph, for the very first time, despite her mother's reluctance. Single mom, Erin, leaves Australia behind and waits for her incarcerated boyfriend, Michael, to be released from an Ohio prison. In the UK, Emma surprises her family with news of her imminent US prison wedding to fiance Curtis.
Proposal on Parole
Andreea, a Romanian student based in London, is set to marry Cage who is serving 50 years in a Texas penitentiary. But will her prison wedding go off as planned? Quickly following his release, Michael decides to propose to Erin with the ring she unknowingly brought from Australia. After some time back in Germany, Svea returns to America for Joseph's release but is alarmed by his future living arrangements.
I've Seen Him Naked Now
Emma leaves the UK to marry Curtis in prison, but her clothing causes a major issue. Erin meets Michael's family in Ohio. Australian born Jessica is preparing to welcome home her incarcerated husband, Craig. Leaving prison after 11 years, Joseph and Svea check into a hotel for their first night--and his first bath in over a decade.
Second-Degree Engagement
Lithuanian bride, Gabriella, faces criticism from her sister regarding her fiance, Jamal's second-degree murder charges. Newly released Joseph moves into his cousin's basement in Michigan, while Svea plans to go back to Germany. Olivia leaves her home in the UK in search of her imprisoned fiance, KJ's missing birth certificate. Australian wife, Jessica, gets ready for her husband, Craig's release in Kansas.
Collateral Damage
As Craig finishes a ten-year sentence in Kansas, Australian wife, Jessica is anxious about their first night together. Romanian fiancee, Andreea, receives harsh criticism from her family about her planned marriage to inmate, Cage. In Michigan, British bride-to-be, Olivia, has a breakthrough in her quest to find fiance KJ's birth certificate. And with girlfriend Svea back in Germany, formerly incarcerated Joseph struggles with life on the outside.

Former inmate, Joseph, is still living in his cousin's basement, much to German girlfriend Svea's disapproval. And only weeks after his release, there's some life changing news for Craig and his Australian wife, Jessica.
It's All a Bit Messy
German girlfriend Svea is concerned that Joseph, her formerly incarcerated boyfriend, no longer has time for her, while Craig and Jessica have money worries in Wichita. Olivia and Gabriella, both travel to Michigan for their upcoming prison weddings. And in Ohio, Erin is shaken when she discovers that her fiance, Michael, is hiding a huge secret.

Post her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and up sticks to South Harlesden, or as the Estate Agent calls it SoHa (definitely not the area around Wormwood Scrubs prison).
With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety. Not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone.
Then there's Amanda's mother Felicity who is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely. Theirs is a slightly unhealthy co-dependent relationship based on backhanded compliments and veiled snipes about her new home.
After a brief spell of freedom, Anne is sucked back into being Amanda's minion to help her navigate the social scene with the other parents at the children's new school. Thank God for Anne.
